No frills but seemingly authentic.
The restaurant is nothing much to behold; it's all very basic and has almost a canteen vibe (though it isn't a buffet or anything) - just quite institutional and cheap, definitely not a date location.
We ended up in here because it's pretty near the Genesis Cinema, which is a gem in the area, but there is a real dirth of appealing places to eat nearby.
However, we found the food to be pretty good. The menu is one of those translation jobs that means a number of the options have probably been literally translated in a way that ends up making no sense. But there's lots of choice and our waiter was helpful.
I really enjoyed the lamb barbecue skewers (£1 each!), and also my boyfriend's pork dish. My chicken kung pao was kind of blah; I should have gone for something more outside my comfort zone as I suspect that's where the good stuff is.
It's a decent bet if you're in the area. -

This restrant gave me bad experience. Poor interior fit out, poor service, and over priced based on the quality they privided.

Soooo good! Very similar to the Chinese taste in China now. If only they accept credit card. That's the only drawback.

We went to this place for dinner and received a horrible service from this restaurant. We felt that they didn't respect Chinese people and showed no patience.
Most terribly, my girl friend got diarrhea all night. We couldn't think of any other reason but their food.
Overall, we won't go to this place any more and don't recommend people to go there. -

Great to have an authentic Chinese in the area. We visited for a late lunch on New Year's Day, and really enjoyed the food. It took me back to eating in Singapore's local eateries, with coffee spare ribs, cereal prawns and a great seafood fried rice which came with fish roe liberally sprinkled on top. Ate enough and came away with some leftover rice, all for £30, so pretty reasonable. Would definitely recommend.
